BALLAST POINT GRAPEFRUIT SCULPIN IPA

Ballast Point is new to our area and it did not take long to make a name for itself with our beer enthusiasts and in the beer news.  Shortly after Ballast entered our market, Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits was purchased by Constellation Brands, the company that makes Corona and Modelo, for $1 billion dollars!

IPA lovers are going to really enjoy this beer.  The hint of the grapefruit comes out a little in the after taste but is aggressive enough to tone down the hops in the Sculpin.  It is definitely not overwhelming.  For those who expected a radler or shandy taste, they will be caught off guard and pleasantly surprised to fall in love with this IPA.

Goose Island fans are going to be in for a treat with this draft and pilsner/lager fans might have found a brand new favorite brewery! Goose Island Four Star Pilsner is a relaunch of their Blue Line Pilsner that debuted last year in Chicago only markets and is only available on draft.

When the IPA craze calms down, it is predicted that craft pilsner will be the new flavor of the month for beer enthusiasts.  Craft pilsner is up 127% this year!

BAR WARS TRIVIA GOES STAR WARS TRIVIA

Not too long ago at a bar not too far, far away...

There was trivia.  Bar trivia.  It is called "Bar Wars Trivia".   A free game to bar patrons that allowed them to share their knowledge of pop culture trivia and to win free drinks and prizes.  Bar Wars consist of 21 questions broken up into 3 rounds. 

Pints hosts Bar Wars Trivia on Wednesday nights at 8:00.  This December, Bar Wars Trivia goes Star Wars Trivia.  On December 2nd, 9th, and 16th Pints and Bar Wars Trivia will have Star Wars themed questions.  There will still be the same prizes and drinks specials but there is also a big prize to the winner of each of those nights.  The winner will receive 4 free tickets to the December 17th 7:00 "The Force Awakens" IMAX 3D experience!

DECEMBER 2nd:
Questions will cover Episode IV "A New Hope", Episode V "The Empire Strikes Back", and Episode VI "Return of the Jedi".

DECEMBER 9th:
Questions will cover Episode I "The Phantom Menace", Episode II "Attack of the Clones", and Episode III "Revenge of the Sith".

DECEMBER 16th:
Questions will be about the complete Star Wars saga.

Trivia will begin at 8:00.  Please get there early for seats.  Remember there is to be no more than 8 members per team and that we are only giving away 4 tickets to the winners.
